This aged Gouda is an amazingly hard cheese with a stunning deep amber color that develops from extensive aging. The rich flavor of this Gouda also deepens with age becoming subtly sweet like butterscotch & toffee, slightly salty & sharp, balanced by a granular texture that delivers an enveloping mouth-filling experience. A perfect selection for a dessert board, serve it with chocolate covered strawberries for an epicurean delicacy.

One doesn’t often come across a Gouda this aged and when tasted side-by-side with a younger version, the first apparent difference is texture: thick like a caramel that sticks in your teeth (Yum!). The rich, butterscotch/toffee characteristics of our three year Gouda are exponentially developed over two more years of aging creating an intense & complex masterpiece.
