Proprietor Dion Tsevdos acquired The Cheese Shop in March 2007 when the former owner, Mr. Fox, retired after a long career at the West Side Market.
Lisa began working for Dion & Chef 2 Chef Foods in 2007, moving to The Cheese Shop several weeks later where she continues to this day. A native of Metro Detroit, she moved to Cleveland while still in high school. She began cooking professionally for chef Michael Symon at Piccolo Mondo & worked with Marlin Kaplan & Ron Seballos before joining Levy Restaurants to open Jacobs Field in 1994. Starting as a line cook & creating meals for both the Tribe & visiting teams, she became chef at the Terrace Club. After heading kitchens in Washington D.C. & Indianapolis, she returned to Cleveland & worked at the Beachland Ballroom feeding the public & touring bands. Lisa likes to wave at trains!
